N O R T H A M E R I C A N B I R D S 308 W E S T I N D I E S & B E R M U D A at Ocean's Dream Resort, Cat Island 23 Dec (MM). Steensma saw a flock of nearly 200 Ba - hama Swallows near Red Bays, Andros 4 Jan. A Golden-crowned Kinglet was seen at the Ar - boretum, Bermuda 9 Jan (PW). An apparent Bicknell's Thrush responded to playback at Cerro Punta, along Road 143, Jayuya, Puerto Rico 13 Feb (PR). A Gray Catbird was noted at National Trust Parrot Reserve, Cayman Brac, Cayman Brac 26 Dec (CK). The second U. S. Virgin Islands record of Gray Catbird was pro - vided by a bird at Estate William, St. Croix 17 Jan–21 Feb (LY, CC-B). The Brown Thrasher found in Nov near the abandoned restaurant n. of Treasure Cay, Abaco was last seen 8 Dec (EB, JH). An American Pipit was photographed at Cabo San Antonio, Guanahacabibes N.P., Cuba 3 Dec (JBe, fide MJG), possibly a first for Cuba. Holmes saw a Golden-winged Warbler near the abandoned restaurant in Abaco 7-8 Dec; this species is rare in the Bahamas. Another Golden-winged Warbler was seen at Grand- Hatte, Artibonite, Dominican Republic 17 Jan (BF). Single Swainson's Warblers were at the abandoned restaurant site 8 Dec (EB) and the Gladstone Road Agriculture Complex, New Providence 19 Feb (AL). A Tennessee War - bler was at the former citrus farm near Trea- sure Cay, Abaco 29 Dec (EB, RN). Single Or- ange-crowned Warblers were at Bahama Palm Shores, Abaco 7 Dec (JH) and Fresh Creek, Andros 20 Feb (AL). A Nashville Warbler was at Gerace Research Center, San Salvador 28 Feb (NA). Wunderle found 16 Kirtland's Warblers while birding with the staff of the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve on Eleuthera 3-9 Dec. Kirtland's Warblers prefer successional habitat in the Bahamas, so it was reassuring to learn that they can still be found along Madeira Rd., Eleuthera (JW), 12 years after they were first discovered there (PD). A Kirtland's was found near the abandoned restaurant n. of Treasure Cay, Abaco 7-8 Dec (EB, JH). On 6 Jan, Bracey found 6 Kirtland's along the Hole-in-the-Wall Rd. s. of the pine forest and just outside Abaco N.P. He continued to find a few Kirtland's on subsequent trips to the area. A Wilson's War - bler was at Lucaya N.P., Grand Bahama 7 Feb (EG). A Connecticut Warbler was noted Bosque de Matorral, Puerto Rico 19 Jan (GP). Gem - mill reported a Blackburnian Warbler from the woods on the n. side of Laguna Sombe for the second record for Vieques 3 Jan. A Prothonotary Warbler, a rare bird in the s. Lesser Antilles, was noted at La Sagesse Salt Pond, Grenada 21 Dec (SM), and a second one was at Turners Hall Woods, Barbados 8 Feb (JM). Very rare for Jamaica, a male Mourn - ing Warbler was at Font Hill Nature Preserve, Saint Elizabeth 18 Jan (EAm). The Bermejas C.B.C., Cuba 19 Dec yielded 2 Worm-eating Warblers (RLN et al.). Three Savannah Sparrows were counted on the New Providence C.B.C. 14 Dec (fide NM), one was at the San Salvador Airport 19 Dec (WH), and 5 were at Big Bird Chicken Farm, Abaco 17 Feb (EB, AL, TW, JH). A Lincoln's Sparrow was also at the chicken farm 30 Dec (EB, RN). Single Summer Tanagers were at Fer - ry Point Park, Bermuda 1 Jan (PW) and at Reef Bay petroglyphs pool, St. John 6 Jan (RRV). A Rose-breasted Grosbeak was at Little Lake, San Salvador 17 Jan (ZS), and a Blue Grosbeak was seen at the Sandy Point dump 17 Feb (AL). A Lesser Antillean Bullfinch reported at Great Tobago, British Virgin Islands (an uninhabited seabird preserve) 19 Feb (SZ) attests to the col - onizing capabilities of a species whose status, as a natural immigrant or introduced bird, to the Virgin Islands has been debated since the 1970s. In the U. S. Virgin Islands, it can cur - rently be found as far w. at Perseverance Bay, St. Thomas (RLN). Three Grasshopper Sparrows were reported at Port-au-Prince, Haïti 26 Feb (SBa). Several Indigo Buntings wintered for the first time in Guadeloupe seen, between Jan and Apr (AL, FD, ED). An Eastern Meadowlark photographed at Owens Town, Andros in early Dec (fide JS, LB), provided the first modern Bahamas record. Two Boat-tailed Grackles were at Lakeview Ponds, Paradise Island 14 Feb (JK). A Shiny Cowbird was at the Marshall Road pig farm, New Provi - dence 14 Dec (WP, EB, TW), and 7 were seen at the Gladstone Road Agricultural Complex, New Providence 21 Feb (AL). Two male Brown- headed Cowbirds patronized Bracey's feeder in Treasure Cay, Abaco 10 Feb+ (EB). An Or - chard Oriole was at-Bosque Estatal de Aguirre, Puerto Rico 3 Jan (MR, m.ob.). Single Baltimore Orioles were reported on the New Providence C.B.C. 14 Dec (fide NM), at the Grand Lucayan Hotel, Grand Bahama 13 Dec (EM), at Man-o'- War Cay, Abaco 16 Feb (SC), and at Treasure Cay G.C., Abaco 18 Feb (AL). Addendum: The Black-bellied Whistling- Ducks released on Eleuthera in the past year and a half were all banded with red or blue leg bands. The Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks seen on Abaco and New Providence in summer 2014 were unbanded. Veit and others found a minimum of 3 sing - ing males plus one female, and possibly more were present, 6-15 Jan. One male was singing at Virgin Islands Environmen - tal Research Station 14-15 Jan. At least one individual appeared to have dull streaks on flanks, likely young bird from previous year (RLN). Veit and Sean Rune (St. Thomas) in - tend to publish more on this sitation.
