Two Golden-winged Warblers and a Yellow- throated Warbler were at Providencia road near El Tuito 17 Jan (RST, BG, LB). A Colima Warbler was near San Pedro Atlapulco near Almoloya de Río, Méx. 12 Dec (MC) and an- other was in Pino Real, Mich. 21 Jan (ph. PL). A Northern Parula was at Presa La Vega, Teuchitlán, Jal. 25 Jan (ph. JAAR), a year af- ter the first sighting for this location on 14 Feb 2014 (ph. JAAR). Single Chestnut-sided Warblers making up a high total of 5 were in different parts of nw. Jalisco in the sec- ond half of Jan (RST, BG, LB). A Cape May Warbler was in La Antigua, Ver. 19 Jan (ph. JAL). A Palm Warbler was at Rancho Primav- era 18 Jan (BG, RST, LB), and another was at Coatepec, Ver. 26-27 Jan (AMo, JAL ph.). A male Slate-blue Seedeater was unexpected at such a low elevation along the Playa de Oro rd., Col. 6 Jan (SNGH). In Guerrero, a male Ochre Oriole was near Paraíso 16 Feb (MC). A male House Sparrow was photographed at Emiliano Zapata, Tab. 3 Feb (F&WB). A first confirmed record for Chiapas, a group of at least 50 Brown-headed Cowbirds were gathered with Red-winged Blackbirds and Bronzed Cowbirds to roost to for the night in cattails nw. of Jaltenango (Angel Albino Corzo), Chis. 7 Feb (ph. JM, AM, NL, m.ob.). A Common Loon was at Playa Juan Ángel, Ver. 14 Dec (ph. JAL, ph. LI). At least 8 Short-eared Owls were in high grass - land between Tlachaloya and San Cayetano de Morelos, Méx. 25 Jan (ph. MG). A Scaly-breasted Hummingbird was 1-2 km e. of Maravilla Tenejapa, Chis. 20 Dec (ph. JM, AM). Orange-chinned Parakeet ap- pears to have become established at Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas with reports since at least 2013; 3 were in the city's center 17 Feb and 2 there 27 Feb (AM, JM). A rare visitor to the Pacific slope, a vocalizing Couch's Kingbird was ne. of La Ventosa, Oax. 21 Jan (AM, JM, m.ob.). A Yellow-throated Vireo was near El Tuito, Jal. 21 Jan (RST, BG, LB). A Ruby- El Uno, near the Worthen's Sparrow Reserve, La Hediondilla-San Rafael 25 Feb (MC). A Buffy-crowned Wood-Partridge was heard calling repeatedly near the first lake on Cinco Lagos rd. at Lagos de Montebello, Chis. 19 & 20 Dec (AM, JM). Two Pink-footed Shearwaters were off Santa Ma- ria Huatulco, Oax. 1 Dec (AM, JM). A near-ad. Nazca Booby was off Santa Maria Huatulco 1 Dec (ph. AM, JM). Snail Kite appears to be in- creasing in numbers in Colima, with a roost of 41+ birds at Man - zanillo airport marshes 21 Feb (SNGH). A belated record came to light of an ad. Crested Eagle at Yaxchilán, Chis. 28 Dec 2013 (ph. SCTB). A Black Hawk- An uncommon record for the state of Puebla, this Purple Gal- linule was at Laguna San Felipe near Izucar 3 December 2014.
