Single Lincoln's Spar - rows were detected at Brooker Creek Preserve 1 Nov (Tom Mast), Blackwater Creek Preserve 8 Nov (CFi), Oviedo 10 Nov+ (Graham Wil - liams), Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary 13 Nov (J. Haas), Lake Hancock Outfow Wetland 18 Nov (JoH et al.), Paynes Prairie Preserve S.P. 19 Nov (PhM), and Black Hammock, Seminole 27 Nov (PaH). Two Dark-eyed Juncos were at Florida Caverns S.P. 29 Nov (L&RSm). A Western Tanager was at Gulf Breeze 19 Aug (BDu); another was at Tallahassee 30 Nov (Rob Lengacher). A rare Black-headed Grosbeak few into a window at Gainesville 9 Oct (fde AKr; *FLMNH). Nine Dickcissels were reported, all in the n. two-thirds of the state, as is often the case. A remarkable count of 23 Yellow-headed Blackbirds came from Sem-Chi Rice Mill 3 Oct (CoC); one was at Green Cay Wetlands 31 Oct–24 Nov (Holly Krahe), one at Hague Dairy 8-12 Nov (Shane Runyon et al.), and one at Lake Apopka N.S.R.A. 15 Nov (PaH et al.). Rusty Black - birds reports included one at IP Wetlands, Escambia 16 Nov (Jerry Callaway), 8 at Emer - alda Marsh Conservation Area 29 Nov (AdZ), and one at Black Hammock, Seminole 30 Nov (PaH et al.). Brewer's Blackbirds are rather rare in the state, with reports of one female at Bayport Park, Hernando 7 Nov+ (JMc) and 2 at Concord Rd. 22 Nov (ESc). A Boat-tailed Grackle of the torreyi subspecies was recorded at DeLeon Springs, Volusia 8 Nov (MBr), and one with pale irides was at Bayport Park 16 Nov (BPr, VPo). Shiny Cowbirds were report - ed from cen. Florida at Lake Apopka N.S.R.A. 22 Aug (HRo); s. Florida continues to see sig - nifcant numbers, with 20 at Flamingo, Ever- glades N.P. 23 Aug (BrR), one at Sem-Chi Rice Mill 3 Oct (CoC), and 10 at Homestead 22-23 Oct (G. Hawkins). Now widespread, Bronzed Cowbirds were found throughout the state, including one at Fort De Soto Park 19 Aug (JAC); one at Leesburg 22 Aug (LSt); one at Flamingo, Everglades N.P. 23 Aug (BrR); one female at Ann Dever Regional Memorial Park, Charlotte 27 Aug (Dan Emlin); one male at Hague Dairy 15 Oct–2 Nov (Samuel Ewing et al.); one at Eastpoint, Franklin 29 Nov (LaG); one at Apalachicola 29 Nov (LaG, JMu); one at Pensacola 29 Nov (A. & D. Forster); and one in w. Pasco 30 Nov (KeT). Purple Finches have become rare winter visitors, restricted to the n. parts of the state, and only three reports of 7 individuals were received: 2 at Cantonment, Escambia 8 Nov (Jerry Callaway); one at Merritts Mill Pond, Jackson 25 Nov (Michelle Cousin); and 4 at Concord Rd. 28 Nov (L&RSm). Pine Siskins made an appearance as far s.
