A Marbled Godwit was at Ciénegas Los Alamos, ne. of Durango, Dur. 18 Oct (ph. JHMG). A Sanderling was recorded at Presa El Tulillo 13 Sep (ph. EM). Single Semipalmated Sandpipers were seen at the Granja de Camarón Chacalilla, Nay. 25 Aug (MS), and 2 were there 6 Sep (MS, FEG). Another 2 juv. Semipalmated Sandpipers were at Parque Ecológico Luis Donaldo Colo - sio, Durango, Dgo. 7 Sep (ph. JHMG, BS, BR, IRC). A possibly injured American Woodcock was found in a residential backyard in Apo - daca, N.L. 21 Nov (ph. FH); the bird was later transported to an adjacent forested area. A single Red-breasted Nuthatch was off Hwy. 2 e. of the Sonora-Chihuahua border 21 Aug (ph. JM, ph. AM, DM, AMG, LPG, RVB). An - other Red-breasted Nuthatch was with a mixed fock of warblers in mesquites at the Mayan Palace Hotel se. of Puerto Peñasco, Son. 27 Sep (RB). A Spotted Wren was noted at a train sta - tion in El Fuerte, Sin. 11 Sep, well below the species' normal elevation (ph. DM). A Tahiti Petrel was photo - graphed from a cruise ship off the coast of Sina- loa, about due w. of Mazatlán 5 Nov (ph. NM), a few days after the formation of Hurricane Vance. In Nuevo León, a Tricolored Heron was record - ed at Presa La Juventud, Marín 5 Sep (AM, JM, RV), and 2 were there 6-7 Sep (ph. EM, RD). At least 7 Mississippi Kites were along Río Casas Grandes e. of Casas Grandes, Chih. 21 Aug (ph. AM, ph. JM, DM, AMG, LG, RVB). An imm. Bald Eagle was recorded near the Anzalduas bridge nw. of Reynosa, Tamps. 8 Nov; although it was seen from the Texas side, the bird was soaring above Mexico (DB, DW, ph. RV, m.ob.). In Nue - vo León, a pair of Wood Ducks was recorded at an artifcial lake in Parque Fundidora, Monter - rey 30 Nov (ph. AG, ph. RV). Two Ring-necked Ducks were on a lagoon ne. of Gómez Farias, Chih. 19 & 21 Aug (ph. AM, ph. JM, DM, RVB, AMG, LG). A male Greater Scaup was on La - This juvenile Semipalmated Sandpiper was one of two recorded 7 September 2014 at Parque Ecológico Luis Donaldo Colosio in Durango, Durango. Possibly as a result of Tropical Storm Dolly, several of this species were recorded inland and west of their normal range in Mexico during the frst week of September.
